Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Ministry of National Education and Sports rewards scholarships for local students centered on their academic performance. There are two major scholarships that TRNC makes available to indigenous students in North Cyprus any other types are normally provided by the university the student applies to.

The two scholarships provided by TRNC are the full scholarships and the partial scholarship. With the full scholarship, the ministry takes care all expenses of the student, tuition fee, dormitory or accommodation, an allowance of $200 per month, and stationary for the semester. The full scholarship covers the student till the completion of the course the student applied for. 100% scholarships are normally allocated to students who did exceptionally well in their previous schools. But Masters and PhD students are more likely to be awarded the 100% scholarship by TRNC.

There is also the partial scholarship are also available to student citizens of North Cyprus, this scholarship actually has sub categories, there is the 25%, 50% and 75%. Partial scholarships often cover allowance and stationary aid, and in some cases the scholarship also covers the accommodation. Planning to apply for any university in North Cyprus? 2. When will the application for academic year 2017-2018 open? What are the chances of getting the scholarship for an undergrad applicant? Does it also include air ticket expenses?

most of the universities in North Cyprus reopen during the fall. So between Now to September is the best time to apply, the chances of getting a scholarship for an undergraduate course is quite high. in Universities like Eastern Mediterranean University and Cyprus International University, you are automatically qualified for the 50% scholarships. Scholarships do not include air ticket expenses, but the university would enable the easy acquisition of visas and there is also safe transportation upon arrival in North Cyprus.
